any date works
Any date works for me, as long as I know ahead of time.
I cant reply in certain forums here (says admins only). So for your schedule at GCI, I propose..
TH 8:00 a.m. Allies and Axis Anniversary Kickoff tournament. (4:45) 16 teams, (games at 8:00, 2 and 8, finals Sunday) OR 32 Teams (games 9 and 3 on TH and F, Finals Sunday)
Friday (Continued AAAV and Guadacanal/Bulge/etc + Masters)
Saturday Mega Revised as usual (last year for Mega as Revised)
Sunday - Finals for all games
I personally think the 32 team 2 day tournament is good. You can stretch the games to 5.5 - 6 hrs if needed.
I dont think AAAV is ready to replace Revised in the Mega/Masters since we wont have tournament playtesting done. That is what SG and the initial kickoff tournaments will be for.

Re: AA Spring Gathering VII 2009 Dates?
I was trying to swing the SG along with a family trip down to visit my wife's cousin.
The problem is that the spring breaks for my wife(teacher) and my children don't match up. One has the week before Easter and the other has the week after.
I probably won't make the SG this year. But if I were voting for a preferred date, I would go with the early one.

Gents,
Some possible good news on the room front. looks like we might be able to have the SGVII on April 17/18 but we will have to move back downstairs to the class rooms. A smaller room and a bit more out of the main corridor but we have a few more amendities at our service without all the hassle...?
Or if this doesn't work out, it will be in the same local as last year, just April 3/4. This will become official by weeks end...
Sorry for the inconvenience...
Peace,
GS
